Diets can be a very good motivator before a long weight loss phase. Such radical diets are often placed at the beginning of a long-term food conversion in order to raise stamina and discipline. Several kilos of weight loss in a few weeks are actually not rare, but a few days later, the frustration is great again: The notorious yo-yo effect is a part of the lost pounds just brought back to the hips. The reason is simple: When fast diets is mainly water and muscle mass may, however, lost no fat. That the balance of the diet again after ringing up a bit, is therefore quite normal. To what extent this happens, and whether at least the majority of the weight lost is lost permanently, depends largely on the (ideally rational) diet and lifestyle after the diet.

Some count the calories during a diet, the other score points. In this type of diet, the food has a certain point system will be assigned.
